Petco is quietly running their $1 per gallon and up sale again. Only the 10 gallon is a dollar per gallon. Looks like we will never again see prices of $1 per gallon on tanks like the old days, but if you're looking to buy bare tanks it looks like now is the time

All of these tanks are 50% off

For some reason the main link says the 50% off sale has ended but the prices are accurate in cart and probably in store

Those starting new, get the biggest tank you can afford/manage.
Don't get 10g, at least start with 20 or 29 gal first, once you get the hang of it (takes few months to get used to it) you will thank yourself for not getting a tiny tank that's actually harder to manage (at least for my case) You will need good filtration system, sand/gravel, lights, beefy heater and habitat like plants etc. A lot of people swore that sponge filters are good, yes they are actually good, but they are messy to manage and let's face it, ugly. There are a lot more fish pros here, so I hope they can guide new tank owners with more suggestions so they don't make the mistakes most first time tank setters do.

Get a sponge and hide it behind a big rock, best of both worlds

I think this is mostly ended.

wow looks like they just killed the deal, they must have launched it live by accident. I checked out fine, guess I'll look to see if they cancel my order

Neither website nor app appears to have any deal going on at all? 20g long is still listed at $49.99

I reported post under "other" to try to alert Mods to unexpire the deal. Not sure if that's the correct approach.

Yeah. Time for that 40 gallon I've been eyeing and maybe a nice 20 long

Sponge filters are the way to go.

FYI

50% off Select Tank sales typically last for a month depending on product availability.
