Free is great. But the light is so weak I never used it for anything. You will eventually get a better light that you will actually use. Knowing that, I won't even bother go to the store for it.
Their other free stuff in the good old days were much better, magnet tray and 25 ft tape measure came to mind. I would want to go and get a couple more of those.

They still hand those out? Don't think I've ever had one work more than a time or two. But, it's free, so can't expect a whole lot.

we still have a few of them from back when they were free all the time. think the best free item they offered was the 18" magnetic strip

I still have two of the free multi-meters. I would get those every time they came up. People know I tinker with electronics and hit me up when they need to borrow a meter. I'm not going to lend a decent meter out.

I wish it was for the free tarp or batteries. I have a bunch of the free lights but have never found a use for them.

I have noticed people try these in store and leave them turned on when they put them back, running down the batteries and making the light much dimmer. I always reach into an unopened box to get mine.
I still have and use the older lights that have the 24 LED bulbs. I think they're great: throws alot of light, very handy hook and magnet for placement. I have not tried the new strip ones.

we use these on evening walks. would rather have this in my hand than my phone. and they last at least a month before need for a new set of batteries. if the store was down the street i'd be all in. but not a 25 mile r/t drive with gas at $4.50/gallon.
