If you're debating it, do it. Best shaved ice maker I've ever used. Worth every penny.

Oh come on ... I just talked myself into buying this and now I see it's only for Walmart+ members??? Booooooooooo. Thumbs down. Screw off Walmart, crap like this makes me less likely to sign up for that overpriced service.

The main jar is standard blender type deal. Chuck it in the dishwasher most likely, or disassemble it and hand wash.

The top area is only exposed to water, so it doesn't need to be washed that often. However it is a PITA to clean.

Unless you are making a lot of shave ice, a vitamix is much more flexible and smaller. It does just as well on margs.

I had one and got rid of it. Too bulky and prefer the margs from the vitamix.

And I thought the South Park joke was funny.

Was showing 209.99 now $188.99. However I couldn't even purchase it when it was at $129.99 with a Walmart+ Trial.. Representative told me I have to pay for walmart+ for the exclusive access items. what a load of crap.

I was fortunate enough to purchase this a couple years ago from Best Buy at $99. I can duplicate the other owners in saying:
  • The ice shaver on top is the key difference in this vs even premium blenders
  • If you drink frozen mixed drinks often enough, get one-you won't regret it
  • I take mine on pretty much every vacation and save tons of money on buying overpriced, subpar margaritas poolside.
  • cleanup for the top part is a little cumbersome but not awful
  • it IS big and takes up a lot of room in our pantry.

This is like a 15 years old product. Frivolous it may be, but try not to act like it's a new invention designed in downtrodden times.. as the kids say, dats ignant.

I used to have the cordless version of this (I think it was called the Nomad). Loved it and it was always a hit at parties, camping, or in the pits at the racetrack. Unfortunately the battery packs faded quickly and Margaritaville stopped supporting the model so I had to toss it. I wish the manufacturer would have given users the opportunity to run AC/DC power sources to keep the longevity up but that wasn't the case.

All in all, if you like shaved ice style drinks, these Margaritaville machines are hard to beat.

We've got one of these. Works great. As for why it's great: the ice is always uniform. We use straws in our drinks and it's always small enough to fit through the straw. Secondly, it measures out everything for you. Thirdly, very easy to clean.

I have owned this for some time now. I can say the quality of the "shaved ice" is epic. Even if you didn't love margaritas, it's a wise buy for non alcoholic or snow ice treats. The margaritas are the right liquid slush you'd get at a bar that charges 15 for 1.
