It's not bad at all, holding out for Samsung
https://www.amazon.com/XPG-2TB-GA...B093DNV47J
It's among the fastest SSDs out there, and now at an affordable price. How low will it go?

In the real world, they're pretty close according to Userbenchmark.com, where users test and log their real world systems. The Gammix is slightly (6%/4%) faster overall, with each one trading off in coming in ahead of the other in different individual testing metrics. The Samsung is more consistent and has a lot more users testing them, while the Gammix has more very high scores (and a few more low scores) and fewer users testing them.

You also don't have to be a student or pay for a Gamestop Pro membership to get these prices right now. And the Gammix comes with a (fairly crappy) heatsink, as opposed to none at all for the Samsung (at this price point, at least.)
In short, they're both pretty great SSD's, among the very fastest on the planet. You won't go wrong with either of them.

Thanks for this. One thing I did want to clarify is that the 980 Pro, or at least the version I got, did come with a heatsink: https://www.gamestop.co
