Seems directly inspired by the arcade game Killer Queen (and the home port, Killer Queen Black). My only issue with KQB was network lag. Maybe Plunder Panic has fewer issues with that, because none of the Steam reviews mention issues with online play.

I use this game to play 12 players local to warm up at LAN parties. Definitely worth adding to library, just a really basic pixel game to pass some time with friends that's not too serious.
