Same price at Amazon includes shipping. Best Buy should match Amazon.

Just a heads up that the U7G is an amazing model, but if you're trying to use this with 4k 120 hz on something like a 3000 series GPU with HDMI 2.1 or something else, please be sure to wait until the firmware update to really enjoy it.

Originally, it didn't fully support 4k 120 hz with chroma 4:4:4
https://old.reddit.com/r/Hisense/...f_true_4k/

It looks like they took the feedback and created beta firmware for people to test. Now they have an official firmware update to release over the next few weeks. More details here -

More details here too -

https://www.avsforum.com/threads/...6/page-258

In other words, a good time to get this TV!

EDIT: If you do decide to use it at 4k 120hz (before the firmware update is released) with HDR on with your laptop/desktop 3000 series that supports HDMI 2.1, and you experience audio issues/crackling - review this. While its related to the U8G, this basically applies to the U7G as well. https://old.reddit.com/r/Hisense/...ken_audio/

"Right-click speaker icon in tray -> Sounds -> Playback - Make sure sure the TV is set to the default device and then opening its properties. Under the Advanced tab change the default format to 16 bit, 44100 HZ (CD Quality). This completely resolved my issue."
Someone else mentions "24 bit 48000 Hz is working with my U8G for both my 3080 ti and 3060 ti rigs now"

Would it be worth it to get an extended warranty on this TV? If so, would it be best to get it via Amazon or Best Buy?

Best buy has a 15 day return period while amazon has 30 days. Any reason to order from Best Buy over Amazon?
Amazon doesn't care about handling big heavy items, the fork lift drivers don't care, don't believe me? Look up all the one star reviews on their tvs. I've had two tvs arrive broken. Go with best buy, if you can pick it up. If not, I've had my 75" u6g delivered perfectly.

Great price, I was waiting for this price drop but had to buy the TV about a month ago. Was able to get BB to price match so that was good.

It's all a matter of opinion and risk.

Personally, I'll pay a little extra to guarantee I get 5 years out of a TV. If i'm going to spend a large chunk of change, I want peace of mind that it'll last. This one is pretty cheap (I really want a 75"+ tv and have been waiting months for the right deal. I'll get the warranty on that, but for $600, I might just take the really good deal as it is and risk it

Thanks for the reply. I'll try to price match with Best Buy as I have a 45 day return window with them in case something happens.

I don't see any additional warranty/protection in Amazon. Is there an additional step I need to take in order to get it?

Really bad raised blacks on these units, even the 65"

It seems like it's an ips panel.

Also lots of issues with no signal or sound on the 120hz inputs.

Returned one earlier this year.
3 months with ours now and i'm not experiencing any of these problems.

wish i could get amazon to honor this new price though.. i paid more.
