What's also misleading? I believe they "upgraded" their whole line, giving better features to the middling sets. I think what was meant was the features themselves, upgrading to a 120hz native panel and HDMI 2.1 for example without having to step up to the U8G.

I have always assumed hisense was pretty low quality, anyone know the failure rate history for them? i.e. do they hold up over time similar to pricier brands?

Would of brought this 4K TV. But Amazon does ship anything over 55" to HI. Walmart and Best Buy are OOS in store and for delivery.

There are tier to quality and price. Hisense is done pretty good overall the last couple of years. Hold up? sure they do. closest TV is like 1k

Just ordered one too. This will be a huge upgrade from my 2012 Samsung 1080p. Got the free deluxe delivery and unpack. March 3rd. 9am-12pm arrival.

How far apart is this tv from the Samsung QN90A in terms of picture quality for just watching tv (youtube tv) and movies (Netflix, et al.)? I purchased the latter for more than $1k more than this tv and, while beautiful, I don't feel like I'm totally blown away by it vs any other tv I've seen (obviously not a videophile). Currently waiting on a replacement to be shipped for the Samsung because it arrived with a panel defect that only affects a small portion of the screen, so I feel like I've gotten a fairly accurate feel for how it looks.

I know it's a fairly subjective question, but if I swapped the Samsung for this tv, how noticeable of a downgrade do you think it would be?
