Just a quick warning - this is their "heavy duty" line and similar to polishes or other abrasives, you shouldn't use a more aggressive product than you need. Clay bars are not abrasive but can absolutely cause marring/scratching even with careful use.
If you have a heavily contaminated car, this is a great product. If you've clayed recently or have otherwise clean paint, I'd recommend a less aggressive variant. This would be great match for something like wheels, exhaust tips, someone already planning on heavy paint correction etc. I wouldn't choose this product as part of my normal maintenance routine.

The microfiber get dirty and fall apart.
The citrus soap separated after a few months and is no longer very good.
The mits are okay but they are overpriced and comparable ones hold up just as well for less money .
Etc
I do not recommend this brand it is overpriced and does not last.

That said, last time I was looking for a new clay bar and saw one on here, someone recommended Mother's Speed Clay as an alternate to traditional clay: https://www.amazon.com/Mothers-17...B01MPYDYWT It's essentially a rubber sponge that in my opinion is at least 90% as good as the real thing but about 10x faster to use and reusable by rinsing it off. I'll never go back. Just wanted to pass on the information. Nothing wrong with regular clay though.

Is this too rough of a clay bar or do I need to look at something "softer?" The price is right at $13, otherwise I was planning on using some ONR as lubricant on a more expensive clay bar from Mother's or Meguiar's, or something like that.

I agree that the Mother's is much faster and easier to use. However, I would say 60-70% as effective as a regular clay bar. It depends on how much time you have.

That being said, I have switched to Adam's Products

How long do one of these last? How many car washes?
You, I like you.
I use to pay a lot of money for chemical decontamination products but found a $9.99 bottle of Meguiar's Ultimate All Wheel Cleaner does the same thing. Spray it on for 5 minutes, rise off. Then use the nanoskin or similar product. I can do an entire car in under 20 minutes usually. I bought two bottles of it yesterday at walmart for this very reason.
