I believe Amazon is the same price. Costco gives 3 extra years of warranty but Amazon is 5% off with the Amazon card. Tough call as I've never purchased an extended warranty of any kind and in hindsight that has almost always been the right answer.

85 inch X90CJ & X90J are on sale again at Costco and other retailers for $1999.99. It may be OOS in your area for delivery though. BTW, on extended warranty, I had my sony 690E fail in 5th year and Costco's Square trade warranty (it was not Allstate then) returned full price after a phone call. I am looking for 65inch Sony and may bite this.

The X91j is exactly the same as the x900h which is currently having lots of issues as per the x900h owners thread on avsforum.com. I've talked myself out of this X91j many many times and I think I intend to wait to see what 2022's equivalent has to offer: the x90k.

The thing that bugs me and will bug me is the hdr brightness. I have a Vizio p series that basically scores the same. Categories that will be an issue for me is the hdr brightness and local dimming. I expect an upgrade from the Vizio and not just the same picture quality on a bigger 85" screen
I'm a X90H owner of the 85" size and have had no issues.

Toe was $1,999 last week when this was higher. Might be less now. But. My delivery guy was literally trying to haul by himself and rolling end over end from the street to my house and up the stairs. The most insane thing I've ever seen. I denied delivery. I'm definitely getting from Costco now.
What's toe?
Lol did you wait until he finished rolling it up the stairs before denying it and force him to roll it back down?

Question to the lucky folks who bought it during the BF deal - How do you find this TV?
I bought this from Costco in November. Have been using it extensively since then. 70% movies/streaming apps, 30% NHL hockey games through Xfinity cable box. I use a Roku Ultra for all my apps; I never bother with TV apps as I generally find them inferior to anything Roku dishes out.

I was debating between this and a 77' OLED. I am glad I went with this TV. But I have a massive wall with plenty of space; honestly 85'' is still too small for my taste. It will buy me a few years until 100'' OLEDs are reasonable.

My thoughts on the TV: it depends on the quality of content you feed it. 4k whether streaming or UHD discs is amazing. I am incredibly pleased. Movies kick ass; picture quality is amazing. 1080p content is only OK. I don't think the upscaling is amazing. Broadcast TV is average, about the same as the 6-year old Samsung it replaced. I sit about 9.5 feet away, so maybe that's a function of larger TV and viewing distance. If you do a lot of broadcast TV you may find better; so many networks still broadcast in 720p (and even 1080) but I feel like the TV doesn't upscale that well.

If you mainly watch 4k content I think you will be incredibly pleased with the picture.

People on here and AVSforum will say this is the 900h and 900h has nothing but problems. The problems you read about are "blurry 4k/120hz". Do you plan to use it as PC monitor or next gen gaming console? If yes, you may care about that. If no, then it literally doesn't matter and you can ignore the noise. A few people make a lot of noise.

I have had exactly ZERO issues with eARC, 4k and Dolby Vision are amazing.

The Samsung QN90 is for sure a better TV with better picture quality. The QN85 may be as well. However the QN90 is significantly more expensive and Samsung's don't do Dolby Vision.

Consider your use case. If you want the best picture, get OLED. If you want a super bright LED and don't care about Dolby Vision or cost, get the QN90a, if you want a good value which thrives with good 4k content and don't care about PC monitor/next gen gaming, consider this TV.

May find it just a bit cheaper once 2022 models come out, but with the the way prices are going in general this is a pretty good deal.

I got in relatively early in Summer 2020 on X90CH from Costco. No regrets at the price I paid, which was basically the same price as this deal. It was buggy for sure, and I am disappointed that the promised firmware updates took so long to come out. After seeing how the promised firmware played out, I will never buy a TV unless all the features I must have are available at the time I buy. The only real remaining issue is blurry 4K 120Hz, so as noted above if you won't use it for next-gen gaming or as PC monitor then there's nothing to worry about. ATSC 3.0 OTA looks stellar. At 85", the MPEG compression artifacts on ATSC 1.0 were very noticeable. That's all gone now with ATSC 3.0 and the better codecs, even on channels like FOX that still broadcast at 720p. eARC has been trouble-free for at least a year.

Thanks for sharing the deal. If you have purchased this TV with the previous Costco deal at $2199. Ask for a price adjustment ASAP, you only have 30 days to do it. I purchased my on 02/03 so I should get it hopefully Smilie

translate "verde" + toe. It's a naughty word on slickdeals. I haven't used it myself to buy a tv but very tempted to.
