I have the PNY, the usb-c side snapped off. I put no strain on it just from normal use. Works ok now as regular USB drive. Haven't tried the SanDisk

It's not very obvious from the pictures, but the Sandisk also has dual USB-C and USB-A.

Does anyone have thoughts about this item vs. the SanDisk Ultra Dual Luxe, currently $11.29 for the same 64GB capacity? https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-25...0842NMT7F/

I recently got the PNY. It works fine but the built quality is a bit flimsy

completely different target audience.

The one in this deal has both USB C (new usbn found in tablets/phones/computers) *and USB A (old style rectangle usb found on computers)

The SanDisk Luxe has metal casing, while PNY is plastic. Some say that metal dissipates heat better, for better sustained speeds and longevity. Others say, metal burns fingers if drive gets too hot (transferring a very large file).

I've not owned either product. But I'd get the SanDisk if buying a drive.

The Sandisk also has usb-a and usb-c. The problem with that design is it seems like one end is always exposed, which won't make it very durable.

Do not buy flash drive, buy portable ssd, the performance and durability is heaven and hell difference. price wise they are similar per gb.
I agree. If you have old SSDs you moved on from you can also repurpose them into USB drives by buying those SATA to USB drive cables. Great way to give those old drives a new lease on life.
