The ryzen 3250u is twice the performance of your cpu. Goto the cpubenchmark site where you can see Passmark scores. The score for yours is 2000 and the ryzen is 4000. And it's ddr4 and more modern hardware than your second gen Intel which is probably close to 11 years old at this point

Was about to jump on this but looking at the benchmarks it seems my 2410M is faster than this? Am I reading it right?

My battery is pretty much non-existent and I'm on a 720P screen so it's tempting but that held me back!

I didn't quite understand the coupon. It says $150 off so $200 for the laptop, but then on the check out page it showed the price of $299 without the coupon. We'll see what it comes up with.
