Me too, but you can bet that if it was, it wouldn't cost only $14.99...

These are fine controllers for switch. They work well and over time, like most switch controllers, they will have drift issues. For the cost they are worth it. If you want all the bells and whistles there are $60+ controllers out there for you. For some extra controllers or controllers for when your kids have friends over, these will work just fine.

I bought one of these (all black) on sale from Amazon for $11.99 back in Dec: https://slickdeals.net/f/15520948-powera-wired-controller-for-nintendo-switch-black-12-target
That's not the "enhanced" version like this one. The difference is two remappable back buttons (they can be mapped to any of the front buttons) and a headphone jack in the control. Whether it's worth a few bucks more is up to the user.

I hear ya... If you go on the product page on Amazon, it's one of the variants from their line up so I presumed they were all the same... I don't even own a Switch, but I bought that controller b/c it was cheap and I emulate Switch games on PC so the controller offers a somewhat bespoke 'Switch' game playing experience Wink .

It is annoying that they mix the 2 types of controllers together.

I'm not a heavy gamer, maybe 10 hours a week. Had one of these controllers and it was fine while it worked, but then the left stick started drifting bad and became too annoying to use. Bought another since it's cheap, but the same eventually happened again except worse. Went through both within a year. Luckily my cousin bought me a PS5 for Christmas and I now use that much superior controller. Personally would not recommend.
Not sure why you got down downvoted, thanks for the info

Really wish this was a wireless controller.
I wished it was not, and it came to pass. Cool

Had 3 of these Power A controllers. All have issues with the analogy stick sticking or drifting.
Did you ever try the warranty I'm curious how good their customer service is. I have one for pc gaming.

I have had replaced 2 wireless controllers (2year warranty) with their customer services and had no problems. However, if the design is old and might be out of print/ Out of stock, they will replace it with whatever designs they have in stock which I didn't mind, you do have to send proof of purchase. Also, one of the controllers took really long to ship, idk y.

Anyone know of any wireless switch controllers that take AA batteries? Not too crazy about built in rechargeable batteries in controllers...

The wireless PowerA enhanced take AA batteries. They are the same as the ones in this deal, just wireless. I'd also loot at 8bitdo Pro 2, it takes AA batteries and comes with rechargables too. It is a really nice controller with rumble. PowerA does not have rubble.

Dude, thank you so much! I picked up a couple of powerA controllers... I didn't know 8bitdo offered anything that took AA batteries in it but I'll keep an eye out now!
