The only reason why a person should get this is if they need to be able to have chained actions triggered through a wyse camera activated rule. Specifically, if somebody walks in front of a camera, a rule could be configured to activate the flood light directly in front of them and then another one further down a driveway around the corner that is out of range of the motion detection system.
If you are trying to use it for security, then this is pretty pointless. If you use any other motion activated flood light system (which you can often get for under 20 bucks) when a person walks within range of the motion activated sensor of a standard flood light it will turn the light on which will then activate the camera to record an event anyway, which means you really don't need the wyse flood light.

I would much rather use a non proprietary motion detector in conjunction with a smart home hub to work with other devices, such as smart wall switches that can turn on any number of lights, smart outlet switches or individual smart bulbs that can be controlled with as much or as little intricacy as you need.

Imo, there's only one single reason to have anything at all to do with wyse, and that is the excellent night vision on their version 3 wyzecam. The rest of their products aren't anything special and generally mediocre in quality and performance compared to other non proprietary alternatives. Their servers have had major technical difficulties at least a dozen times in the last year, often making all of their wyze devices completely unusable. The wyse app is sh!t, a bloated decaying whale crammed full of odds and ends to try to support every bit of wireless electronic junk that wyze can try to slap their brand on.

The v3 cam performs splendidly, but for everything else you should really consider alternatives.

don't want to neg here but i have a question on all these COB flood lights....not just from wyze.

What happens if a 'bulb' goes bad, now I know they are supposed to run 11 years straight (rated for less now) but even then,....old style, replace bulb....easy.....but these???

This looks like a good price. Wyze reg price is $85 plus shipping which is $15 for first unit from wyze (less for subsequent units). Repped!

Breaks down to ~$35 for the included WyzeCam3 and ~$45 for the LED floodlight.

Can this operate without motion detection as a regular dusk to dawn floodlight?

Pull from attic would be best and most secure but for quick easy install I just ran a power cord to closest outdoor plug.

You are SOL (ship out of luck). Which is why I refuse to purchase lights with integrated lights.

I've had the worst luck with these. DO NOT do a firmware update unless you're near the camera. I was on a 2 week trip and didn't have access because the camera needed to be power cycled.
