I have eaten these nearly every day for the last 1-2 years. They are a healthier alternative to regular pancakes and taste good (optional: add a pinch of cinnamon if you want). Obviously dousing these with Syrup or using a lot of butter will not make these "healthy." So for those more health conscious, I would recommend eating these with a small amount of syrup, sugar free syrup, or PB fit peanut butter that is a bit runny.
Ideal cooking instructions for me is 1.7g water : 1g pancake mix. This comes out to about 3oz of water to 1/2 cup mix. The instructions on the box have it at 1 cup water to 1 cup mix which is 240g water to 106g mix which will make these WAY too thin.
1. Add water to dry mix. Limit mixing to preserve CO2/promote rising
2. Let sit for 5 minutes. Preheat pan on medium
3. Add tsp of butter to the pan.
4. Add batter to pan. Let it sit for ~5 minutes. You should see the batter bubble slowly as CO2 escapes. (It should barely sizzle. If it sizzles a lot or if you smell butter burning, turn down the heat).
5. Once the top no longer looks wet (it should look dry), flip it
6. Let sit for 5 more minutes. Rotating it in the pan every couple minutes.
7. Turn off heat and flip again to reheat the other side and let it sit for 1-2 minutes.
The result should be a fluffy-ish pancake that is crisp on the exterior but slightly cakey in the interior. It shouldn't be that dry unless that is your preference.
I tried Walmart self checkout. The coupon scanned but the coupon amount was $0.00. So no discount with scanning by myself. The cashier would not override it. Hope others have better luck.

I despise when you enter an email to sign up for something and they then require that you opt in for texts. Of course, they send the emails even if you don't complete the next step. Not worth it.

Thanks for sharing. Walmart stores have always been very negative about accepting internet printed coupons even my coupon usage met 100% of their cooperate coupon polices stated on their web site. Just within the last 6 months I had to wait for more than 15 minutes for a manager twice.
Once I was using 3 Splash flavored water coupons that had limit 4 per transaction printed on it. After I scanned the coupons at self checkout, the light flashed. The cashier came over and did not approve my coupons but did not tell me why. He asked me to wait while he went to see his manager with my coupons. After waiting for a long time, he came back alone and asked me if the coupons are the copies of each other. I said no and pointed out to the serial numbers on the coupons as they are all different. He finally approved my coupons. I wondered why he did not ask me that question at the first place before assuming that I committed coupon fraud (though Walmart should train their employees about coupon serial numbers).
The second time I was using 2 manufacturer coupons on clearance items at self checkout. The cashier did not approve my coupons stating that coupons cannot be used on clearance items. I explained to her that the manufacturer will reimburse Walmart the amount stated on the coupon plus 8 cents handling fee regardless of the item price and Walmart won't make less profit because of the coupons. But she did not understand. I had to wait for a long time for a manager to arrive and the manager approved the coupons.

Another Walmart self check-out DP: the coupon scanned but no amount was deducted. The cashier told me if it "doesn't scan" then there is nothing she could do. I didn't push the issue further but still worth the try IMO since I was at Walmart regardless of this coupon.

Good grief ! Some of these Walmart employees must believe their own last name is Walmart ! Good for you in waiting for the manager.

I know you're trying to be funny, but I hope you realize that flapjack is just another term for pancake. At least in the US. It's something different in the UK, but the two terms are used interchangeably in the US.

I'll be honest, with the way I've seen management treat some of the employees at Walmart, I would not ever want to work there. I literally saw a manager scream at an employee. when I said something to him, he told me to mind my business.
(Course, being the nosy be-yatch I am, I called the corporate office, told them and I haven't seen the manager since. I don't know if they moved him, fired him, or promoted him, but he isn't at that store any more.)
IMO, they're not quite as fluffy or spongy as normal mix, Aunt Jemima for example, but they're pretty close. Just a little heavier and dense in general. The taste is pretty standard. Nothing wrong at all with em. It seems some prefer these to "original" pancakes. I don't, but have ZERO issues eating them even many times in a row. If regular pancakes are a 10, these are a 9.

Walmart has higher rate of coupon fraud than other stores, especailly since they started having self-checkout. Scammers decode the barcodes of the coupons and buy items that are not meant for the coupons, etc. I don't know now but Walmart used to let fthe coupon overage to apply toward the other items you have in the cart, so scammers saw the big oppotunities and took advantages of Walmart.
I don't know why stores don't train their employees properly with coupons and their coupon policy. I lost count how many times I have been treated like a crimminal when I tried to use valid coupons at various stores over the years.
Thanks to scammers, all other honest couponers have to suffer and the coupon values have declined. I used to buy multiple Sunday newspapers for coupons but no longer put efforts for couponing. It's just not worth the effort and my time. I am not going to try using this coupon because it's very hard to find a store that let you use 100% free item internet printed coupon these days. Meijer sends me coupons monthly in snail mail and I shop there more than other stores.

EDIT: The printed coupon does say get one free. The electronic coupon sent to my phone says BOGO
