Yeah the difference is to prevent people from price matching.

I see the 65" for $1199 too. Is there a way to get a *GOOD* extended warranty on these refurbed/microcenter units?

This deal is still alive. There are 4 left of each (55" and 65") at my local Westmont, Illinois MicroCenter. There are some at the Chicago MicroCenter as well. They must be Superbowl returns.

I just picked up a 65" model up for $1,229.99 out the door after getting an additional 5% off for using my MicroCenter credit card and tax. I just set it up and looked it over. The screen is perfect. At first, I thought I saw a dead pixel but it was a tiny piece of styrofoam. There was some very minor wear / scratches on the heavy ass pedestal base weight but that part sits behind the TV and you can't see it anyways. I am very happy with this TV. My Hisense 65" U8G has much more intense brightness but this has some amazingly realistic and dark blacks that an LCD cannot produce.

Also, regarding the MicroCenter warranties available for the 65" model, there were three plans available in the 65" model's price range of $1,100 to $1,399.99:

2-year HDTV Plan (without Screen Protection): $139.99
3-year HDTV Plan (with Screen Protection): $249.99
4-year HDTV Plan (without Screen Protection): $209.99

But I'm not as worried about screen burn-in, after seeing the built-in screensaver pop-up a few times when I walked away. I might just chance it without a warranty, cuz adding the 3-year plan (which makes the most sense) would make the price almost what you can get one of these new at Green Toe for ($1,599 no tax)...

I've tried two refurbished microcenter TVs. Both were broken and in bad physical shape. These aren't your typical like new products.

I bought the 65" refurb when it was posted a few weeks ago.

The TV itself seemed brand new. No noticeable defects/scratches or anything. It seemed to have all the new packaging. The only thing that looked used was the remote. The remote seemed to have some scratches.

I left the TV on for a while after mounting it to the wall, because I got side tracked during the setup process. When I came back, I checked how long the TV has been on (you can check the total screen on time in settings) and it said 2 hours. So I believe if I would have checked it right away, it would have showed just a few minutes.

I've been very happy with the purchase so far.
I bought the 65CX last year from them refurbed. Came in a brown box, but looked brand new otherwise. No issues with it so far.

I bought the 55" for $999 a year ago. It has a significant scratch on the back of the base of the stand. Otherwise it was in excellent condition.

You must have bad luck then. I bought two "recertified" iPad Pro's from them last year and they were perfect and still function perfectly today. I just picked up a "refurbished" 65" LG C1 last night and other than minor wear / scratches on the heavy base that sits behind the TV, the screen and everything else is perfect. No dead pixels either. Screen time was at 3 hours when I turned it on.

For what it's worth, I picked up one of these refurbished 55" LG C1's from a Chicago Microcenter last weekend and I'm very happy with it. The panel has 2 hours total on it, only one dead pixel, and a small scratch on the stand. I feel like I got a great deal. I've never had to deal with returning things to Microcenter (in fact this was my first time visiting one), but I understand the hesitation behind refurbished items from a B&M-only store.

I bought the cx 65 for 1100 and the cx77 for 1999 about 6 months ago. They've been great. The 65 had 11 hours on it and the 77 had about 100 hours. Don't think twice and get it. I had to go back and get the second one for my bedroom since I can't watch on anything but an oled anymore

To make even more slick, ask for the front manager & negotiate price.. Was able to get $175 off the TV & $100 off the protection plan doing this.

I sniped a 48CX for $600, actually had a second one for the same price I was tempted to get too. Runs like a champ. Their TV Inventory isn't always accurate to whats on the shelves in the store. The only thing overall was the screw arrangement for the base. Have to really align it to get the screws in just right, that's more of an LG thing. I picture someone returning it because they claimed the screws dont fit.
You missed your chance for a dual 48" monitor setup. EEK!

I bought two "open box" iPads over a year ago from them and they were perfect. Still work fine. I just bought this "refurbished" 65" LG C1 for $1,230 out the door and it was perfect. Get a grip.

I saw that, and apparently some sort of two year warranty is included? My only concern is you would apparently have to pay for return shipping if there was a problem, unlike Micro Center?

LoL at this "refurb" junk
Someone is sad that they don't have a MicroCenter in their area to take advantage of this deal…

Picked up a 55" that had a pixel that was seeming to get stuck. Returned and picked up a 65" that came in a plain brown box with no indication of damage. Plastic covering panel had holes in it meaning the tv was likely packed this way. Those same holes had some small scratches and a small but deep groove you could see with the tv on.
