Yes they do, I've gotten handy with a screwdriver and google because our samsung dryer has broken 3 times/3 different parts in our new home. The unit we have is a 9.5 cu one which is their most expensive unit (came with the house not our choice). Samsung appliances are trash.

I have been shopping for another dryer because the roller of my Samsung dryer also broke down after 7 years. I am hesitated to get another Samsung.

Is LG better? What are some reliable brands for home appliances

Yes they do; it's the air dry setting. It will just turn on the drum and blower only. It will not turn on the gas/heat. I use it for certain items that I don't want to use heat, any heat. I do have to run the load on less then half of the capacity. You want enough so they tumble properly but not too much where the air can't flow easily.

My best friend was an appliance installer for about 4 years and he said LG units were the least returned/warrantied units out of all the brands. Honestly anything other than Samsung is probably a good idea haha

thanks. basically they don't support heat w/o gas.

Correct. It's only a 120v plug. Electric dryers use a 240v plug. but the nice thing is the option is there if for whatever reason your gas isn't working properly or your heating element goes out. at least you can still "dry" your clothes until everything is back up and running.
