Pricing has come full circle on these as I believe this was the original price, before they shot up (at one point as high as $849).

Good units, small'ish screen at 24" (many wish it was 32") and only 720p. But if you like vpin, its a decent unit.

Was bout to purchase an mvsx but this is tempting, had a1u vpins stayed this price I'd probably already have one. Wish we had more options in the vpin market

I prefer this design but the AtGames Legends Pinball still seems more appealing overall. I'm fine with modding but the smaller/lower res display, etc just seems like such a downgrade. Seeing it finally dip to a more reasonable price makes that decision harder, though.

If it isn't an actual mechanical pinball machine, why would you want all the disadvantages of one? 🤔

I don't know if any of you have VR headsets, but there are an awful lot of really good VR pinball titles out there, many with dozens of layouts available. Pretty good graphics, waaAay cheaper... Portable... and it doesn't actually take up a crap load of space in your game room.
If you really want the pinball machine feel, you could always make a small box frame, put buttons on the side of it and wire it to a usb/Bluetooth controller that you could pair with your vrpc or quest headset.

If you're not into VR, you could still buy a low-end pre-built PC to dedicate as a gaming device, a 40 inch 4k tv/monitor, a haptic rumble controller and every single pinball title with every single released layout/dlc available on steam AND STILL have money left over compared to buying this low-rez 10 layout fake pinball machine.

I suggest playing one first, I gave it a shot and found awful lag/delay on the flippers making it basically unplayable. Walked away

I found the same plus the small low res screen made it an unpleasant experience. I am debating an Atgames Legends one but want to play it first. Sam's has them for $699.

Like others are saying, the screen size is just too small when compared to the Arcade Legends 32" in 1080. If these somehow get marked down to $200 I'll bite. I have a full arcade with 6 Arcade1up cabinets, but I'm saving room for one pinball machine.

At that price I would seriously look at the Atgames pinball machine... more versatile in terms of what it can do...

I found this pinball machine pretty awesome especially with the mods. You can have the marvel, stars wars and Mars attacks machines on just 1 unit. And you can add all the Zen tables. Kongs R Us on YouTube has tutorials. I haven't experienced lags or any flipper issues. The updates fixed those issues

Serious question, as I have been debating which route to take. Why did you buy numerous Arcade 1Up cabinets as opposed to buying one full size custom cabinet with one of the Raspberry Pi setups, or already loaded with a ton of games? I feel like I want to go that route, but everyone seems to be going with the Arcade 1Ups and I was wondering if there was a specific reason?

I'm no pro in the world of electronic pinball machines but I've owned this one since it was first released and man I love it. For $500 I'd buy the Star Wars too. For anyone just looking to add a fun pinball to their basement arcade I'd sell it's worth buying if you can afford. Of all the arcades this gets the most action at my house. Runner up machines are Simpsons and TMNT.

How is the actual play for someone that's never tried a vpn?

I always loved pinball machines my entire life and it is different. A real pinball machine has an authentic feel to it. A virtual pinball machine IMO is a good alternative, not a replacement. But also keep in mind, having 100 pinball machine games on 1 virtual machine vs 1 real pinball machine and it's only 1 game.... positives and negatives to everything in life.....

I kind of just got hooked. They're so dang cheap on clearance. Hard not to buy when they're $70 - $130 each, and I have the physical space in my basement to pull it off and make it look good. I love having parties and everyone able to pick the arcade of their choice.

If space is a consideration or if you want to play a wide variety of games on one cabinet, the AtGames Legends Ultimate is a no-brainer. Instead, I have two AtGames joysticks — the 1-player mini, and the 2-player pro. The mini is connected to a 55" TV hung vertically, and that's for all my vertical games — 1943, Donkey Kong, Frogger, etc. My pro is connected to another 55" TV over my bar for playing every game known to mankind — Smash TV (awesome with two sticks), Rampage, Baseball Stars, Simpsons, you name it.

I guess what I'm saying is, Arcade1up is great for decor and not taking up space. But I bought them kind of knowing they're mostly for decoration and for when people are over.

As far as pinball goes, I've never seen any of these Arcade1up or AtGames machines up close, but have watched hundreds of YouTube videos. I don't have quite the same regard for pinball as I do for video games. Otherwise I'd probably get this Marvel one (at the the right price), and then hope for a similar deal on the Star Wars one. But realistically, I'm hoping for the AtGames pinball machine to go on deep discount someday if they come out with a new model.

Long, rambling answer to a short question. I think it's just important to set your expectation level on things like this. Both the Arcade1up and AtGames series bring different things to the table, and I don't see anything wrong with choosing one over the other, or just going with both.
