After seeing nothing but FUELs on a construct site walk the other day, do you really need that level of tools? Idk, 1600 lbs of torque on this is still very good since it's Milwaukee.

You're right that most people don't need the FUEL version and this is probably a good price. I was lucky to able to get the FUEL surge driver and hammer drill with 5ah battery and charger for $182 last month. With all the hackable deals from HD recently, if you are patient, it may happen again soon.

This is the most basic impact driver Milwaukee offers. This really isn't a deal at all. I'd highly recommend passing on it unless you're currently in need of a relatively cheap impact (personally, if that was me, I'd be looking at brushless 3-speed options on OfferUp or Craigslist).. It's very capable, but much better impact driver deals come along frequently.

So 1600 lbs-in is only 133 lbs-ft
I think my Milwaukee 18v hammerdrill delivers almost double that torque

The M18 Fuel Hammer Drill has 1200 in-lbs of torque, and that's a lot for a drill.

If you had a drill with 3000 in-lbs, how the hell would you even hold onto it? That thing would take you on a wild ride anytime the bit binds up.

This is a solid drill, I use it at work. It only let me down once but the bolts were already a little rounded and so was my bit so all in all, it's a no brainer. Also that charger is M12 compatible which is awesome if you already own M12 tools

This is the lowest end of what Milwaukee has out right now (not saying it's not good, but pretty old in tech). Brushed and the smaller 1.5ah. For $20 more at $199 you can get this kit below which essentially has the impact from this thread and newer 2.0ah batteries. FYI, this kit was $125 hackable over xmas.
