From the outside this looks great. The handle feels nice and it comes with a sheath. The one MAJOR drawback is that it only has a 1/4 tang. If you don't know what this means, the metal from the blade only runs through 1/4 of the handle instead of half or all the way. Under heavy use this will fail and probably snap into 2 from the handle. The metal is pretty soft to hold a proper edge as well.
If you are getting this simply for your bug out bag or prepping for the zombie apocalypse you will be fine with this."

Lowes had them for twenty bucks and they are real machetes.
Tramontia also makes a smaller one for close work when you can't swing a large one.

For anyone looking.. you can sometimes catch a Shrade machete deal on here. I picked up a decent one on the cheap a couple years ago and have seen them pop up from time to time.
