Pretty much like cash . You just need to remember to use it before it expires in a few months. I think some people forgot to use it . Then it just disappears
I often check what is expireing when I buy that months batteries. If I have some expirieing, I look around a bit to see if I need to spend some while I am at the store. You can have the store PM the useual suspects. I may find I will have to add OOP on that purchase and wont need to buy the batteries for the OOP needed for that month to recycle. Then again baterry packs are free after rewards, so the only clear winner is the sales tax man. You pay tax on the battery packs you buy and you pay tax when you spend the rewards. Govt gets 15% to 20% (twice the sales tax) when you combine the dubble dip.

1 week later they cancelled that order and the promo was gone when I noticed.
Summary: Over chat they match amazon/walmart one of which should be much less.The only wya to pay was to call in for a chat order.
For me bank of america credit card has a 10% offer I had to activate.
