What is important is at checkout to either give your Rewards number or the cashier asks everyone if they have a phone number associated with a Rewards account.
It usually takes a day or two to get and use the Bonus Rewards for the batteries.

But in both cases, you should make sure your valid rewards number is on the purchase.
So if you know you had your account number in there, shows on the receipt/purchase confirmation, bought the correct item(s) and don't see any special indication on the receipt ... things are probably OK.
