I have hearing loss in my right ear and with these I can actually hear in stereo for once. It's pretty great.

It really depends what kind of loss you have. I suffer from 75% hearing loss on my left side from a cholesteatoma that went undetected for too long and basically swallowed most of the bone. I had to have it surgically removed, and due to the damage, reconstructive surgery has failed multiple times. So I have what's considered conductive loss. I test drove a bone anchored hearing aid, which does similar to what the Aftershokz do, but it required surgery and I just didn't to go through with another surgery and recovery.

So basically if you have conductive loss, these will probably work great. If you have nerve loss (either from age, listening to high volumes too long, etc) they may not be as effective.

Commented on the other Aftershox deal. These things are awesome. You sacrifice music sound quality for safety and surround awareness. They are perfect for voice audio and totally acceptable for music when you really need to hear what's going on around you. My Sony earbuds are my daily drivers when I run in my neighborhood, but I always go with my Aftershox for road-trip audiobook listening and running outside my neighborhood. Highly recommend.

These things are great, forgot how much I paid I think I got it for cheaper from Amazon before but still worth it at $70. Use them on my daily commute to work, at the gym (only annoying when benching or doing seated leg presses cause of the band), and running and love them. Sometime they can be a little quiet in volume but over all worth it so you can keep aware of your surroundings.

For the sound quality on these, think of the cheapest knockoff ear buds from 10 years ago. Don't expect good sound quality and you'll be happy. Very functional and good for biking/running

I have the OpenComm version of these and I freaking love them. Crystal clear calling with excellent ANC - I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these to anyone.

Does anyone know what this technology means for people who have unilateral hearing loss (loss of hearing in one ear)? How will they perceive the vibrations in the deaf year, given that vibrations do resonate over the skull?

I bought these from the other deal and just got them 24 hours ago. I'm really happy with them so far. I've mostly been listening to podcasts on them and they are perfect for that. I also used them to listen to some background music at work and they were totally fine for that too.

Edit: I ended up returning them. I found that the way they squeezed my temples gave me a slight headache over time. Going to try out Sony linkbuds instead.
