You don't know any competitive gamers? High refresh rate at 1080p is highly sought after for a lot of gamers

Is there a version if this that does only up to 144hz? Don't really need 240

It seems that the main difference between the S2522HG and AW2521HF is basically the aesthetics and how ambient lighting is used.

This one [dell.com] is the 144Hz version. It's not on sale so it's actually more expensive right now than the 240Hz.

There is probably an option to drop the refresh rate if you think your games cant run it

You can configure monitors frame rate in windows settings or NVIDIA control panel (or AMD's equivalent)

Got this for $230 around BF. Love it! Only bad thing is that it doesn't have a cross hairs for FPS games like most gaming monitors have.

Don't buy Dell gaming monitor for god sake. Their display is grainy and weirdly sharp edges no matter how you adjust the settings.

Doesn't that have to do with pixel density? Things look grainy or like anti-aliasing off if you have low pixel density. For example, 1440p on a 24" is going to look a lot better than 1080p. Same with 4K on a 27" is going to look a lot cleaner than 1080p on a 27".

Anyways, I don't know why anyone would be looking to spend over $200 on a 24" IPS 1080p for 240Hz. Anything past 120Hz is just a weird flex. I've seen 27" IPS 1440p at 144hz for $250 (although not the greatest LCD panel or backlight in the world).

The only issue I would say to watch out for is their IPS glow, I been hearing about that.

I'm guessing you have an old gpu and can't push any frames past 144? Or you don't play any fps games and just play the sims and among us?
