I should have mentioned it in the OP, but this is available for shipping so you don't need to live near a micro center to get the deal like some of their sales.

I will never understand this website/community. You post a refurb legion 7 with a 3070 with a 2 year warranty for $1550. You get down voted to oblivion. But put a G17 with a 3070 for $1900 and everyone cheers.

too much at $1900 with only 3070 and AMD released 6000 series laptops CPUs few weeks ago and Intel i7 12th gen laptops have 14 cores now.

So does this mean you would otherwise have to pay to leave the store with it after you buy it, or do they give you a free truck? Doesn't really make any sense to include a statement like that in the title.

I did some further, I guess you could say " real world " testing and have finally brought the comparison to an end. I comfortably decided on the Legion 7. Sorry for the back and forth and thanks again. Maybe my undecisive overthinking will help somebody else make a choice as well Thumbsup
