One of the best bang for the bucks out there. Have this exact same setup paired with the Denon AVR-S750H and a RSL Speedwoofer 10S and couldn't be happier. I always get compliments on how they look and sound.

803 vs 801 the 803 is a 5" woofer and a front port. The 801 is a 4" woofer and rear port. Port placement has an effect on sound depending on where the speakers are placed.
803 has the atmos connections on top

One of the best bang for the bucks out there. Have this exact same setup paired with the Denon AVR-S750H and a RSL Speedwoofer 10S and couldn't be happier. I always get compliments on how they look and sound.

Someone recently suggested waiting for this same set with the S803's rather than the S801's that are included in this set. Has anyone actually ever seen that set on sale? And would there be a huge difference in sound quality? I see the 803's have an extra woofer or driver at the bottom. Is that the only difference? I dont plan to add the Atmos toppers to the 803s. MIGHT add them to the 809 towers.

Sound wise it would only be worth a try if you don't like the sound of the Elac's. Only other advantage to this is it's a 5.0 system with towers vs a pair of bookshelves.

Well those Klipsch will cost more and will be much brighter than these. These are slightly more forward/neutral sounding. It will come down to preference.

It would be great to get the 803s instead for the same price. I jumped on this deal recently and I'm using the 801 for my front height speakers. Great speakers and unbelievable value.

S803s are way better than the S801. The S803 has better low-end due to the front-port. I don't see any reason why you would ever get anything less than the S803s unless you want the S801s for surrounds or something.

I've been eyeing the Jamos for like 6 months waiting for the 803s. All of this to pair with my recently purchased Onkyo from Costco. Now to find a good sub to complete the setup….
