When you say junk, you mean what? I have one of these for both of my boys and I love them. My 5 year old has crashed his several times and I think there's one scratch on it. They're well built, much better than I expected. There's also no gas/oil to deal with, and they're quiet! They're definitely not junk.

How long until my just turned 7 year old grows out of this? most reviews say it's too small for an 8 year old? don't think I want to invest in the next size up, this is more my price range-

I have an 8 year old who is on the taller side, and he still drives his. I'm hoping it lasts him one more summer, but that would be it. They're nicely made though. Much better quality than I expected.

https://www.target.com/p/razor-po...A-80276675 the pink version is same price but boasts a higher weight limit. Also, the purple version description indicates a further range. The pink one does not. Not sure what to really trust here, but this might be a more comfortable option for some.
