Agreed. Should have been just a nice 27 inch 1440p monitor. Truly the sweet spot. Once you go to 30+ you really need that 4k rez or everything just looks kinda fuzzy.
A 34 inch 3440x1440 21:9 ultrawide has the same 109 PPI as a 27" 2560x1440 16:9 monitor.

Is anyone bothered by the fact that this panel seems to not be actual 1440p? From the Dell tech specs:

Native Resolution
3440 x 1400 (DisplayPort: 175 Hz, HDMI: 100 Hz)
I think that might just be a mistake on their website. All the reviews for this indicate it is 1440, not 1400

Wow shipping time jumped 40 days just now. So glad i hit the buy button when i did could have done it faster but that stupid coupon took a while. This screen will be sold out in a week its a perfect gaming monitor. The price is just right and its most likely going to be way more reliable than those samsung 49" ultrawide monitors that only last for a year.
Clicked order with a delivery of March 11th only to have Chase fraud detection fire and then after resolving to get a delivery of Apr 23. RIP

Agreed. I am still going to wait a bit. I am currently upgrading my PC to a 12700k and 3080. I have a custom water cooled loop with hard tubing I am still working on finishing up. I should have it done this month. Hopefully by then there will be reviews on this monitor. I have considered getting a LG C1 but like others have already said 4k/120hz is extremely difficult to drive. A 3080 won't be able to handle that for most AAA titles. I have a 55" curved OLED now that I was considering using with my PC but it is 60hz only. Going back to 60hz after using a 120hz monitor is a definite step backwards.
Just found a review that says this:

"The screen has a subtle 1800R curvature for added immersion and a semi-gloss finish; the screen is glossy with an anti-reflective treatment that prevents reflections without making the image as grainy as it's the case with matte anti-glare coatings."

That makes me really disappointed.. the whole purpose of OLED is picture quality. I don't want a semi-gloss finish... Mad

On a 34 in screen, the difference between 4k and 2k is huge and easily noticeable to the eye from a close distance.
The difference when you have to drop down to 60Hz because even your top of the line PC can't handle 4K 120Hz is also easily noticeable... 1440p @ 120Hz+ is the best middle ground

Another reason why I want to wait for reviews.

1440p is not "2k" though. You have to compare 1440 lines to 2160 lines (50% more) which yeah, its a jump but not as drastic as "2k" which is 1080 lines (100% more lines going to 2160).

You guys are thinking about this all wrong. A 34" ultrawide is the same vertical height as a 27" 16x9 monitor. But you get the added benefit of additional physical width and pixels. This is really the best performance to quality spot with current hardware. Source: my 3080 ti and AW3420DW

Had to cancel original order instead of getting discount but saved $165 by using this deal. Worth waiting 9 days for the discount. Great post. 👍

I'm so goddamn excited for this monitor. Have had the original UW with high refresh that came out 6 years ago, x34 predator 100hz (3440x1440) and she's been great.
