I just bought the wyze v3, but am considering switching to this. Which is better? How do they compare? Thanks

I think you can only pair the doorbell and/or cameras with one HomeBase at a time. They function separately.

I had an extra HomeBase that sat in the box for a couple months and ended up using it for my cameras at the back of the house. I noticed that when someone was in the backyard, the cameras at the front of the house wouldn't record and vice versa. I don't know if it's actually an issue or not with simultaneous recording but at least I'm able to find a use for the extra HomeBase

I had Wyze and switched to these bc the human and pet detection are free and the image quality is so much better. I'm working on switching out all my wyze for eufy.

I'll be honest… I think I paid less for my 2k eufy cam set via Best Buy on Black Friday. I've never purchased anything renewed but for a few dollars I got the geek squad warranty on one of the cams in case one died. I don't feel like 90 days is long enough to see how the batteries will perform.

I bought the solar panels for mine so they stay charged and powered. So far so good, but it's only been about 5 months.

Also the Amazon reviews on the "renewed" set look kinda bad. Missing cameras, bad cameras, bad hubs, and unwilling customer service has me thinking twice.

I am looking to also replace security devices so may go for the set from Costco for piece of mind, and that it basically comes with both the camera and keypad set without a second home base. I'd then add in individual components.

However, I'm second guessing switching to Eufy as I have a large house (4k sqft) plus garage, decks, workshop etc and I am reading that multiple homebases don't play together and I'd basically need to split my home into zones that are independent and managed for alarms separately, which isn't ideal. Anyone with experience?

Correct, you'd have to split your home into zones. In the app under "security" where you set your alarms, schedules etc, it shows both my HomeBases separately. From there I can see which cameras are linked to the specific HomeBase and I can set my schedules and automation.

My house isn't huge but when I used only one HomeBase and my farthest camera was about 70 feet away, it still worked OK. I would get 2-3 out of 4 bars for the reception.

because the wireless cameras connect to the homebase, you can extend the distance between the two cameras.
