My 4yo daughter was quickly bored by this "learning" video game. There are limited levels and all are fairly identical to one another. More problematic is that the responsiveness of the controls is extremely poor. Thus, it is not a good introduction to video gaming or a source for building your child's hand/eye coordination as it relates to interacting with digital media.

There is little to no educational value in this game.

On the other hand, buy this if you want to discourage your child from being interested in video games.

Totally agree for all the Leapfrog toys over the past decade, as well.

We bought some of them BEACAUSE they were not too addictive and just frustrating enough that the kids wouldn't be glued to the screen.

So I guess that's a YMMV endorsement depending on your kid. Fast forward a few years and I curse the invention of the Switch and iPad Wink

I don't know how this is for 3yos and above. I was having trouble avoiding the fire monsters by having to do double jumps and timing them just right or end up losing a heart. My 4yo got bored in about 30 seconds of trying to move the slow moving character. Returning this immediately. Sorry leapfrog but this was not good R&D

Our kids really love Leapfrog and VTech stuff, so I bought this hoping to introduce my 3.5 yo to video games. It's awful. Boring, repetitive, and the controls are laggy. Any kid with the patience and dexterity to play this would be bored to tears by the "educational" side. Why they thought a platformer was the right kind of game for this is beyond me.
