I wouldn't be able to speak for the specific car, but what I do is go to crutchfield and input your car info there. I then use the information they give on equivalent radios, like trim kits and harness, to gauge what I would have to do to complete the install.

I have a slightly older model of this ATOTO stereo. It has been flawless now for several years. I also plugged a backup camera into it and it is awesome. I use my cellphones mobile hotspot when on the road and I can use Amazon music, pandora, sling tv netflix etc no problems. Mic is good for hands free calling, I have nothing bad to say about mine.

I bought a similar model of this 2 yrs ago to upgrade the head unit of my 2006 Scion tC. Got it on eBay for around the same price and it was the model w/ the gesture controls. Also, bought the back-up camera, dash cam, & obdII scanner accessories. I love it. Adding so many features to a car lacking it makes it so much worth it.
Gesture control? Can you come to more on that and recommend any links or models to that unit or one like it?

Gesture control is pretty gimmicky but is a cool bonus feature. I actually only use it for volume control.
Here is a comparison pic of the models from the ATOTO website:

Any suggestions on how to find out which wiring harness I need to get? I've got a 2010 dodge grand caravan and I tried the Crutchfield method someone suggested but I'm not sure what I'm looking at with the "recommended install kit" they have.

Never heard of it. Just another cheap Chinese in my opinion. I do suggest Pioneer stereo is among the best for money and Alpine is good as well high end Alpine may be more expensive. Sony is goof as well. Kenwood is nice just has a warmer sound signature. If using an amolofier suggest 4 volt output or higher. 4v does the job nicely but 2v may have higher noise at your amp input. I got a mid range Pioneer more than 10 years ago and it has moved from my old car to new car and runs great with great output. High end ones probably gove you may be 14 watt rms to max 25 watt rms clean out put before getting distorted. The advertised watts are not correct.
Sounds like it's been awhile since you looked into the car stereo market.
The legacy big box brands don't even compete in the Android head unit space. Legacy brands offer proprietary systems with Android Auto and CarPlay connectivity with presumably better sound quality and more audio-focused features. They're much simpler and just work. Probably the way to go for people who are more focused on sound quality and just want it to work with no fuss.

For several years now, there's been growing market for head units that run Android, for people who want to install apps in the head unit itself, customize the UI, or bring more modern infotainment type features into an older car. Most of these can interface with CANBUS and display vehicle stats/diagnostics, work as DVRs if you connect cameras, etc. ATOTO is among one of the popular brands, along with Joying, Xtron, Pumpkin, and a few others. They're Chinese brands, but the more known ones offer support and warranties. They're well suited for people that like to customize and play around with tech toys. At the same time, they can have bugs and glitches because they're basically a computer in the dash.

When you do your search the radio you select, and most for that matter, will have a link that says "See the installation gear that you'll need". Click and it will give you what you will need, usually harnesses and trim kits. 90% of the time the kits required are the same across all radios for your car. The biggest gotcha is making sure that if your car has steering wheel controls you select that as a filter when searching for radios, a special harness is typically needed.

Take all that info and price shop on amazon or ebay. The crutchfield kits prices are only good when you buy the head unit from them as well, which I have also done several times. Regardless I would buy the master sheet from crutchfield, about $10 and a great help for wiring specific to your car.

I assume you're joking, but that would be a terrible idea. Most modern cars don't have the old standard Double DIN size radios anymore, and climate control, etc is controlled within the stock head unit (to limit upgradeability). Manufacturers got tired of buyers paying thousands less for the cheaper model and upgrading for a couple hundred afterwards.

Upgrading car stereos will be a thing of the past soon. All the manufacturers are using non standard screens and head units with climate control and every other car function built in making replacement impossible. You can really only upgrade speakers which is a mess because you have to find a clean signal output which can be impossible to even wire tap now.
