None of this over $1000 for a 3050 anything. Doesn't matter what cpu it has.

And there is a rebate, so another potential issue. But if I wanted this model for sure, I would jump on it because I am good with rebates.

Couple of things.
1. The MIR is from Gigabyte not Newegg. So if you don't trust NE, they aren't in charge of the MIR.
2. I haven't seen anything close to these specs at this price AR. Even before rebate at 800 it's a solid deal and a much worse HP went FP at 750 w/ 8 gb of ram, worse screen, worse processor etc. Even without the MIR this is a deal right now.
3. Reviews say this has solid build quality for the price. The price at the time was 1100. So at 600 it presumably has insane build quality for this price point.
4. One REALLY nice thing this laptop has that nothing else at this price point I have seen does is rear power, HDMI etc. If you haven't ever had a laptop with those ports on the rear it is basically strictly better and for me has become a deal breaker along with backlit KB (Which this also has) and a bright screen. Personally I have been shopping for (and bought) a little higher end with a Legion w/ 3070 etc but this was high on my budget list when I was debating what to go with.
Any ideas how to get more than one (for the kids) and still get the rebate?
