I have Xfinity internet in the northeast on their cheapest 100x5 plan and yesterday received an email saying they are permanently doubling my upload speeds to 10mbps for free. Check your emails and/or reboot your modems to see if you were given a similar upgrade.
I had been debating getting a more expensive plan just for the extra upload speeds and now I don't have to!
No idea if other plans were given the same upgrade, sorry.

Hi, is your Internet going through cellular towers or cable? Thanks
If you sign up as a new customer, it's only $30/month for 300mbps, price locked for 2 years, but just a 1 year commitment. Also can get $10/month off if you have xfinity mobile.
I'm no Xfinity defender, but that's a pretty good deal IMO.

$30/mo for 1 year while being locked to 2 years IS NOT A GOOD DEAL
Edit: I see it's only a 1 year commitment with a 30/mo for 2 years if you continue with their service based on what you're saying. However, this does not sound right to me. I think you got it the opposite way.

It's not the opposite, I've been doing xfinity deals for 20 years. I switch to new customer deals every 2 years or so, even though I haven't moved.
Edit: You updated while I was replying, but here's a snip I took from their site. https://imgur.com/iKm3kW1
