Static images lead to burn in. Think of apps like Twitch where's there's countless timers on the screen, static backgrounds, and the live chat has a static background. The News ticker on the bottom of the screen never goes away unless there's a commercial break. I don't watch anything with static images. Sports, Twitch, YouTube music videos with static images etc. If I'm listening to one of those playlists or Spotify, I'll turn the screen off.

OLED can be susceptible to image retention/burn-in if you continuously watch static content. Also, they don't have the same brightness as LED/QLED and look the best in low-light rooms. Buying an OLED to watch the news is like buying a Ferrari to go to the grocery store.

re burn-in; i have a 10? 15? year old pioneer plasma tv that currently has 22,000+ hours of screen-on time (still love it, but eyeing the 65" C1 or ideally 77" G1). i mostly watch bloomberg and cnbc, after all that time i have MINOR...meaning, youd have to look REALLY hard to notice it and its imperceptible when watching regular tv. so i would think on newer oled technology burn in would be a non-issue.

I bought two TVs using the easy payment plan, and PayPal credit. Haven't received any emails about cancellation, although maybe I should cross my fingers…

This is the email I received. I didn't even know that I selected the Easy Pay payment plan. I had to change it to one time payment.

"We are contacting you regarding your recent QVC order #$$$$$$$$$$, E236636 LG C1 77" Class 4K Smart OLED TV w/AI ThinQ. You selected the Easy Pay payment plan for this item in your order but we are unable to offer Easy Pay to you for this item. Because we are unable to offer Easy Pay, we cancelled your order of this item. Additional information further explaining this decision will be mailed to you within the next ten days."

Same email i had received, twice. Tried to buy through PayPal and cancelled. Direct CC was cancelled. Both were defaulted easy pay plan. Full payment went through and still no cancellation so hopefully i am good to go
