I ordered a steak burrito and it looks like I literally got just steak wrapped in a tortilla with nothing else. Definitely going to complain about that!
I think before the app didn't ask me for the toppings but now it seems like it is.

Sounds like you selected steak but didn't select your toppings. If so, that's all you ordered, steak wrapped in a tortilla.
I think in my case I selected steak and the radio button got filled in but it didn't show me the screen to select the toppings so yeah it appears that's all I ordered. It's been awhile since I ordered from Chipotle and never ordered from them with Doordash so I just assumed it was a standard menu item. It was pretty disappointing but DoorDash support was helpful and gave me a $10 credit.
The order was also never marked as completed by the store and was ready over 20 minutes after the promised time.
People always complain about Doordash prices. This is the way I see and use it.
I only use Doordash with promo codes. I have a Chase card that offers a Dashpass subcription.
Alot of times I'll get food that ends up costing 10-20% less after service fee and tipping. I would consider that a good deal because you got your food cheaper than normal, a delivery driver made a tip, the restaurant got my business which it otherwise probably wouldn't have gotten and I get to try new food, and finally, I didn't have to leave the house for 30 minutes to an hour picking up my food.
Even if I end up breaking even after the tip (I never pay more than what I would pay at the store. If the total comes out to even a dollar more I won't use the service.) I still consider free delivery a pretty decent deal just based off the time I need to spend picking up my food when I don't want to leave the house and keep working on whatever I'm working on.
There is still strategy involved so not receive bad experiences and you just take the good with the bad. I dont even risk placing orders in advanc for scheduled pickup time because I don't trust workers to not just make it when its convenient and leave it there way before pickup time. Just think about basic human nature if you've ever worked in the restaurant industry. Like how I don't like to go into establishments less than an hour before they close because I know everyone is just thinking about going home and my food is going to be half-ass prepared, the food could easily be the bottom of the pile "leftover" last pieces of whatever, and all the employees are also cleaning up. Just last week I was at a NICE sandwich cafe that makes fancy hippie food and I decided to eat my pickup order there instead. It was actually about to close so I did break my rule cause I was hungry, and while the employee that was mopping up the lobby was nice enough to ask if I needed flatware, I said yes and she went straight from the mop bucket without taking off her gloves, grabbed my a fork and napkins and handed it to me. (Gloves keep germs off YOUR hands, not the things you touch). I almost gave her an "are you kidding me" look.

My girlfriends and I have agreed to never tip the Door Douche because they made a shit ton of money during the pandemic with everyone trapped at home repeatedly ordering delivery. They can afford to lose some tip money over the next couple years.

Yeah I just noticed after you select the meat radio button you have to click into it to add the options. Definitely not intuitive, since normally you'd expect those options to display further down on the page but clearly a DoorDash issue and not the restaurants. Sorry that happened to you!
