Edit: another commenter pointed out that the pill has been legal in Japan since 1999. The pill isn't as common because it isn't covered by health insurance.
It does really depend and you should try different types. At one point I found a manufacturer, that is no longer in business, sold a baggy head condom that felt pretty natural as it was not snug and moved around at the tip (not the base so it fell off). So sometimes the snug ones or the thinest are not the best natural feeling. So I recommend trying a few out and see what works because everyone is different.

Thanks, I ordered a few different ones!

No American condom. American condoms feel like I'm wearing a raincoat, after finally trying Japanese condoms. Sagami 0.01 and 0.02 are great. So are Okamoto. They're about 1/5 the thickness of Durex's thinnest condoms, yet they're still stronger. They cost more, obviously, but are totally worth it. 75% of Japanese wear condoms, compared to around 25% of Americans, because the birth control pill is illegal there. Their condoms are made much better, because of it. The sizing is different, though. If you use a regular size American condom, it's possible you may need to get the larger size Japanese condoms. I know this deal isn't for Japanese condoms, I'm just spreading the gospel. I wish I knew about them when I was younger.

Wow, this was extremely helpful and makes sense! Thanks for all the info! what does 001 and 002 mean?
Hopefully Amazon has those 😄 repped!

The thickness in mm. 002 are 0.02mm and the 001 are 0.01mm thick. The 001 are hard to come by, even in Japan, because they're so sought after. So, they're expensive where you can find them. The 002 are nearly as good as the 001, and quite a bit cheaper. I usually order 002 from worldcondoms.com. Okamoto 004 are the only ones I could ever find on Amazon. Never tried them.
Also, japanese condoms are pretty great.
