For those with the debounce (double click) issue, download XMouse Button Control.

It has a setting to filter consecutive clicks made within a certain number of milliseconds of your choosing.

Buddy, they do, they're called optical switches which can basically never double click...or just higher quality Kailhs. Even the Japanese omrons are better quality than the Chinese ones Logitech uses for these. Now it seems like they recently changed that for the G Pro X Superlight, but that's in a different price category.

How much of an issue is double click really? Is it a small percentage of users that have it happen or is it a guarantee?

I think I have had it happen with 5 Logitech mice. The last one was my 903. That one only lasted a few months. Now I just buy the hero 502 when they are on sale.

I still have the 903 around somewhere and when I find it I'm gonna send it to that one guy to put in some lifetime switches. I really like the feel of that mouse.

I've read the same thing about the GPW double-click issues on r/MouseReview. FWIW, I bought one the last time around and I've been using it heavily for the past month or so. No issues here yet. Fingers crossed as this might be the best mouse I've ever used.

Cool and Thanks. I have the Razer Basilisk Ultimate and having battery life issues with it. I was thinking of biting the bullet and getting this and the powermat that logitech makes but the price is just expensive and don't want it failing after a few months.

Logitech mice tend to feel the best for my hand, and they are the only ones that can do the free wheel scroll thing. I have a graveyard of Logitech mice. They used to last for a couple to a few years, now less than a year of regular use.

This video [youtu.be] goes into great detail why. The TLDW is in order to make the mice or efficient different voltages were used, that causes certain metals to wear out faster at the contact points, and he ultimately suggest replacing (by taking apart and soldering) with Japanese made Omron switches (the default is Chinese made Omron switches).

I got enough dead mice that it's probably worth it for me to get gud at replacing switches, trying it right now with my G502 (as soon as I can find all of my soldering equipment).

It's not a different mouse. It's just the GPro wireless. The "with e-sports grade performance" is just an advertising phrase they put in the title. There are two versions of the GPro wireless; the original one (this one), and the Superlight (same mouse, but lighter). The Superlight is the more sought after one, these days. The switches will eventually start to fail on every Logitech mouse, though.

Honestly, the double-click problem isn't a fault of Logitech's; they're not the ones making their switches. They use industry standard mouse switches, the same as other mouse manufacturers. It's like how mechanical keyboards use Cherry, Kailh, Gateron, etc. switches. Mouse switches are the same idea, with different manufacturers like Omron and Kailh producing them. Switches failing is a fact of life and is a very easy fix if you have a screwdriver and a soldering iron ready. Takes 10min.

Double click is gonna happen. Just depends how far down the line you get it. It's the actual switch that's causing the issue... You can bend that metal clip back to fix it or buy some other brand switches when the double clicking occurs. Logitech makes u do so much work to prove your mouse is double clicking and their customer service is def not the same as before. I just sent back two of them and switched to a different brand instead.

Well I would expect higher quality switches at $80 and definitely at the original MSRP of $150. The fact that they can't pick from a higher quality manufacturer for their top tier line and instead make you replace it yourself seems unacceptable to me. I guess we have a different sense of value. You may get lucky and nothing will happen but you may also be like many others who have had issues with it. It's a risk and the fact that you may have to repair them yourself isn't something everyone wants to put up with at this price point. Good deal for the mouse if you're willing to RMA or replace the switches if you are unlucky though.

I once bought a GE 5 dollar mouse. It lasted me over 7 years. The only reason I had to buy a new one was because the wire was frayed.
