This is a good deal and gas offers you consistency. I have a large clay oven that I rarely use now as it takes time to get to temp ans also
i need a helper if I have a party as i cannot manage to keep the fire going and.bake pizzas. I am not using this oven but a modified bakerstone pozza oven that comes with its base. This oven has a better uniform temperature and I can get it to very hot if I want to. You however do not want to get it too hot. I get the best results at 850F. I get that oven to 1000F to burn all the char after I am done baking. The stones then get clean again. A barbecue will never allow you to get that high and you won't be baking true Napolitano pizzas that cook in about 60seconds. Do not buy the pizza dough at the store. Make your own and use pizza flour. I buy mine in 55 pounds bags (Caputo flour 00). That is only 35 dollars. I also use Caputo yeast. Water and salts are important too. I use RO water from my well and Himalayan salt. I use 72h fermentation, but I also have had good luck with poolish and biga recipes. Buy also semolina for stretching the dough. I use 67-70% hydration dough. Learn how to make the dough and to ball it. As others mentioned use san marzano tomatoes and good mozzarella cheese and olive oil. I like to add basil leaves before serving.
Got one of these at the end of 2020 from the bloomingdale's sale and have used it much more often than i thought I would have. Great purchase and even better pizza! This looks like a good deal too. I bought the 16. My brother has the 12... that 12 price is pretty amazing with peel.

Btw, for the 16 it looks like they include one of those turning peels, but you'll still need a launcher peel (like the one that comes with the 12) to get the pie into the oven.
You can get a wooden launcher peel super cheap. In my opinion, wood works better for launching (doesn't stick) and metal for turning (thin and doesn't burn).

MSPR direct from Ooni is $599.99. Buying direct from Ooni may lead to delivery time issues as everyone that bought from them over the 6 months has had delivery delays.

Great price! Best price to date outside of black friday/holiday sales.

Very nice, thanks for sharing. I saw that they had the 12 for a while but it's nice that they finally added the 16. I purchased mine directly from Ooni for Black Friday and this is an outstanding deal.

The 16 is definitely worth it over the 12. The 12 is nice if you want to take it camping, but it really limits the size of pizza and if you want to use it for other things, such as grilling or broiling.

Yea bloomingdales is now $599 instead of $499. This is probably the best price you will find. I've had an alert setup for ooni for over a year.

I can't speak to the price perfecthybrid paid, but I do know that in 2021 they increased their prices across the board (inflation, supply chain issues etc), so it wouldn't be an apples to apples comparison since that was purchased in 2020. With that being said, my research shows that the good deals are 20 percent off sometimes (which is what the Koda 16 is at Costco right now), plus you get the free peel turner (which is normally $60). Hope that helps.

Anyone compared the wood version vs the gas? I'm kind of a pizza snob when it comes to wood fired vs gas when seeking pizza at restaurants. Ie blaze pizza is gas, not sure on other chains.

Yeah the link in the other post is probably about right. I think I paid 370ish after tax. But again, they increased base prices by $100 since then.

$340 before tax. was insane deal. W/ that said, this is a great deal. 16 gives you MUCH more room to work with so if you have the space, I would definitely recommend that one.
