The zelda version has 4mb chip and the mario only has a 1mb chip. Zelda version fits links awakening dx redux, zelda oracle of ages, oracle of seasons, zelda Nes, zelda 2 Nes, Tetris DX, and Super Mario Land 2 DX.
Mario version will store a few extra games, but really needs a soldered chip replacement to take advantage of it. Zelda one is the guy. (plus it has start/select buttons)
Also just to reiterate- a raspberry pi and leads and there is NO SOLDERING REQUIRED. You need one of those little triangle screwdrivers to open it up, but it was a fun rainy Saturday afternoon project.
