Are you stuck in the year 2005? 38-40 is very common for luxury timepieces

The watch I got from shopworn was legit, and has been great. I'm sure ymmv depending on customer support. A tradeoff on cost I suppose.

This is a base ETA 2893 in case anyone was wondering. I like Ball as a brand but my personal opinion is quality and QA is a wide spectrum with them, which isn't suprising given the chinese ownership of the brand. I personally would be way more interested in the marvelite engineer series with their in house stuff over these models that typically only show up on the grey market. also wish they didn't use butterfly clasps on all their bracelets

38mm? More for girls, or tiny wrists I think.

You're kidding yourself. 38-40 is NOT very common for men's luxury brands, in fact most have moved on and sized up. Very few are actually 40 or under anymore. He's right.
I agree 38 is on the small side. My wrists and hands are slightly small compared to the average and my Tudor Black Bay 41mm looks perfect. I have a smaller Bulova but it's an ultra thin dress watch, my Glycine Airman which is 44mm is about my max.

I ordered it and it was just delivered. Nice packaging and watch quality. I love the blue. I will however be returning it. The 38mm is too small for me. I am 6'3 and built.
Do you have a pic of the blue? Want to buy but the pic looks black on the website.

Why must these threads *always* come to this?

A large (and growing) lineup of Tudor's are under 40. The new Explorer is 36, Daytona will likely never go over 40. That's the tip of the iceberg but from two of the biggest brands and lots of others are bringing out smaller models (it's not gonna happen overnight) — even Seiko, which is about as much proof as you can get these days.

So I also agree (and love) that we're getting away from the salad plate watch size, and that 38-40 isn't uncommon anymore.
