I have the digital version on the Switch and found it to be a fun Metroidvania/Soulslike/Platformer hybrid. It's a difficult game, but not exceedingly so; with that said, I suggest trying the demo first. The digital version on Switch has been as low as $6.24 during its last couple sales and is a steal for that price.
If you haven't tried it, be sure to check out Salt & Sanctuary. Hands down my favorite Soulslike/Metroidvania (even more than HK which is also excellent). The sequel, Salt & Sacrifice, is due out this year for PC & PS.
I just wanted to present the opposite opinion on salt and sanctuary. I thought the combat was fun and enjoyed the very clearly dark souls inspired mood, NPCs, and upgrades.
However, the total lack of a map really became a problem for me as the game went on and I was supposed to just remember everything. The game felt like it wanted to be the only thing you did in your spare time for a few days straight, because pacing it out is a guaranteed way to forget where everything is. The world is pretty sprawling, and you (literally) don't have the perspective that you do in other mapless games like dark souls to keep track of where you are.
Also, frankly, I found the art appalling. I've played a lot of games and seen a lot of art, but S&S has to be in the top 3 ugliest games I've ever played. That isn't everything, but it sure is distracting.
Again, not a bad game and I can't fault people for it. But the lack of map ensured I could never finish it, and the gross art made the experience of trying to do so unpleasant.

UPDATE: Looks like it is a disc with all content up to the Wounds of Eventide DLC which was released after this package was published. This DLC is free.

"Alloy of Sin" and "Golden Burden" skins are included on the disc. There is no DLC code for extra download.
Worst name for a game I've ever seen by far.
Even Pascal would not approve.
