The glass is what makes the difference between Samsung Service Pack screen and aftermarket 3rd party repair screen repair.
HOW DO I KNOW???? Mobile Tech for 11 years. Fixed more than 30k devices. Now I no longer do these simple repairs. I do data recovery from water damaged phones, which pay me more.

It wasn't uncommon to replace a battery while we were already working on the phone.
It would 100% be on the tech but when you have literally a thousand batteries for a phone that's a few generations old it helped the company more to clear out some space.
Plus if the phones already open it's a 10 second swap.
They would also replace cmos batteries, thermal pads, etc.
It's kinda like going to a good mechanic who you pay to fix your exhaust and while they are at it they top off fluids and what not.
Course this will vary based on location and company.
$100 is an insane price.
I wonder if they will do just a battery swap. I'd gladly pay that $100
