Tempting, especially for the extreme portability factor. The 400 nits display is also a plus.

Here's a link to a thorough review of the i7 model.

EDIT: This Adata or the HP Pavillion 13.3 Costco deal?

Reviews say the screen vibrates while typing and chassis bends cause it's so light. I don't need an ultra light so will look for something a little more sturdy.

Walmart has a gaming bundle for the same price, yes it's cringetopia, but there's a headset.

not a good deal at all IMHO
How so? Expandable memory, replaceable SSD, decent keyboard, great screen, super lightweight, good thermals.
Only negatives are the poor clickpad and battery life.

The only thing that I thought was a con with this laptop is the single 16gb of ram instead of 2 8gb sticks. For the best igpu performance 2 sticks of ram is required. Not many people will use more than 16gb with this processor making a move to 32gb (or even 24gb) not a great investment. Everything else about the laptop is good imo.

It is a bit deceptive dressing it to a gaming laptop when it clearly lacks the specs to be one.

I'm looking at this XPG for a school laptop, and can use it with my eGPU at home thanks to Thunderbolt.

A similar model is the eluktronics Xe-15, $900 for the i7, but it's 2" wider due to 15.6" screen, and almost 4 lbs vs 2.15 lbs.

This make a great replacement for my motile M142 even though it's more than twice as expensive. The port selection is great! as is the ram expandability. Ram expandability is key for me! In for one!

I like the inclusion of one 16GB ram. so now i only have to spend 50$ to get another 16GB to get to 32 instead of trying to sell a pair of 8GB after getting two 16GB.

For a crappy 4-core CPU in 2022? 4-core i7s were around $499 black Friday 2020 two years ago. This is such a ripoff.

Emulation bumps up the amount of games you can play. 😉
