Get this and the multi head. It's a no brainer. The multi head string trimmer sucks to use because of how heavy and imbalanced it is. The dedicated string trimmer is much lighter and easier to use.

first I've seen a 4.0Ah Battery and there are a lot of models to choose from. It's not the Grasscutter mag but Wirecutter just did a piece on them. https://www.nytimes.com/wirecutte...-trimmers/

This is a good deal on Ego's top of the line trimmer. The line IQ keeps the right amount of string out.

I was going to buy the bare tool this year but you can't beat an extra battery and a charger.

I got some decisions to make. I Was going to get a power head with trimmer and edger and battery and charger, so I can avoid a dedicated trimmer. That price is $373 w/ a 2ah battery . If I do a dedicated trimmer w/ 4 ah with this deal, plus a head and edger attachment , it comes out to $420 . So for $50 more I get a bigger battery and a dedicated trimmer and a head that will only be used for edging.

Good deal. Been waiting for a sale at Lowe's in hopes the 10% off coupons would stack. I have really thick fescue grass and go thru a ton of string each time I edge, which is rare, so the Line IQ part really caught my attention. I'll just sell my Carbon Fiber one that I only used three times last year that I got for $108 at HD two winter's ago 😂

Get this and the multi head. It's a no brainer. The multi head string trimmer sucks to use because of how heavy and imbalanced it is. The dedicated string trimmer is much lighter and easier to use.

There are also "coupon" deals on other Ego stuff today. I picked up a hedge trimmer attachment and bristle brush attachment for my power head, both for about $20 [~10%] off. Probably worth hunting around to see if anything other Ego stuff you're in the market for is on sale.
