I've got two of these. Only because of matchy matchy with the rest of the jamo set. For price, they put in decent work. They blend well into environments and look great with the rest of the jamo speakers. Can you do better? Yes.

Anyone ever try hooking something like this up to electric drums? I have a Powerwerks PW50 and need some bass added. Not sure if it can even be done.

Depends do you want to keep with the Klipsch lineup? They make some decent subwoofers but I personally do not like them.

Single Sub setup..
Klipsch Reference R-112SW [amazon.com]
Bowers & Wilkins ASW608 [crutchfield.com] They have gone on sale for $500

Something unorthodox that you might want to try is dual subs.

Klipsch R-120SW [amazon.com]X2

Duals BIC PL-200 [amazon.com] (They used to go on sale for $250 each) They're excellent subwoofers almost as good as the $500 SVS SB-1000.
They come in piano black which with other manufacturers it's a $50~$75 option.

OR

Jamo SUB 210 [adorama.com] They're small but powerful. I purchased two for $98 each.
They're very similar to the MartinLogan Dynamo subs but much cheaper.
BIC PL 200 all the way.

any recommendation on subwoofers? Currently I have
Klipsch RP-280FA
Klipsch RP-600M
Klipsch RP-504C
but still use a subwoofer from a $150 5.1 system

Currently do not have plan on the $2000 range one, so probably $500+ budget.

I want to use it in the same scenario. I currently use Klipsch powered monitors and they have a sub out. I'm guessing I can attach it to that, but wondering if it will sound good with drums.

A SD audio equipment post typically guarantees two things, elitest and negative votes..

To all of those people who have taken an extra effort to down vote practically every post, why don't you try to realize that everyone has a different opinion and perspective?

It's like all of the old curmudgeons come swarming out on every one of these posts..

Can this be installed as in wall? Dimensions are 19.9 x 15.9 x 9.9. I guess 15.9" is a width and May fit standard stud width??

Anyone? Thanks

I bought this sub last Fall and it's been great for our needs. The primary reason I would recommend considering this sub is if for the size/form factor. In my case, we just didn't have room for a normal cube sub, this fit perfectly though.

Performance wise we didn't need anything crazy, just something to fill in the lows since the rest of the speakers are in-wall.

This is a fine choice for a basic subwoofer if that's what you're looking for.

I mean anything could be installed in a wall if you're creative enough, but no this is not rated or recommended for in-wall installation.

Is this a good pairing for the Edifier R1280Ts speakers?

Noob question. Would it be a better experience having one 250 or 300 w sub or two of these?

These only do 75W RMS which is what's continuous so it's what really really matters.

Lol, very true! One would think that the deal hunting nature of the site would help shift that perspective, but with audio equipment the snob stereo type seems to be true. (Unintentional but fun Punn there!)

Many comments here at SD get downvoted for emotional reasons, by posters who become invested in the pov they themselves contributed. I find it is better to pay attention to the upvotes and discard the downvotes. Up votes generally seem more accurate for insightful unbiased info.

There also is the possibility of automated Bots downvoting every post in certain threads to stir the pot as if SD is a social media site worth targeting for political reasons. Seems to happen more on deals that could be politically oriented, masks, oil, etc.
