Like you, I often don't need a reoccurring subscription for most things either so when I order an item on S&S, I just wait until it ships, then cancel it. Easy peazy and I get it at the S&S price.

minus 15% S&S ($1.72)
Net: $7.46

How do you get to $4.42?
That would require the original price to be $6.80.
