Try searching for open-box at Best Buy. I got a 55" C1, excellent condition (Original packaging and everything) for $950 before taxes last week. Total came out to like $1060 or so.

I got lucky. Went In for a 65 inch c1 at best buy had open box for 727. Didn't have remote. I bought a remote and tried out the tv. Only 120 hours on it. Almost didn't buy it but glad I did. Only problem is I now need to upgrade my other TVs. The picture/color is awesome.

Very lucky the open boxes by me look like 1660 does it vary by region and would it be possible to be different in store?
