This post came at the most amazing time. My significant other asked about buying one for her parents since they used it at our place (bought one when it was 45 at Bestbuy) when it goes on sale... lo and behold, a post on SD came up 10 minutes before that conversation.

The air fryer itself is pretty spacious, but the one downside is that you can't airfry two trays at once due to the coils only doing the tray that is on top. The best thing about this air fryer is the rotisserie spit for chicken. The biggest chicken we threw in the air fryer is about 4 lbs, but ideally the best weight is 3-3.5 lbs.

IMO the Insignia is not a better deal or better air fryer. I've had both. I returned the Insignia then got the Gourmia. I like the basket option much better. In store the Gourmia may still be $40.

Ehh, got this not too long ago and not a big fan.
You definitely have to rotate the racks as the top cooks way faster.
Not a huge deal but what really annoys me is that you can't hardly slide the racks out without them tipping and falling out. You have to *hold the rack when you pull it out. It makes it difficult and messy.

Both issues can be solved. All you need to do is switch places with the racks mid way through cooking if you are using both racks simultaneously. And if you put your food on a foil tray or a baking sheet, you'll never have to clean any part of the air fryer.

I was also considering this one before the Costco Gourmia deal came out. Glad I didn't go for this one as the biggest issue with air fryers is proper air circulation and easy clean up. This Insignia model suffers in both areas, whereas the Gourmia has no issues. In fact, the Gourmia comes with a metal rack that you can place on top of the main basket so you can do two different foods at once. The cleanup is a breeze on the Gourmia.

I purchased this unit last time from eBay(Best Buy) @ 44.99 great unit the only complaint is the door doesn't close flawlessly. You have to make sure you close it dead in the middle or it'll get caught at the end. NOT a huge draw back still a great unit for the price

Got this on the last deal they had. Really good for the price. The rotisserie thing works great and I fit a pretty big bird in there came out perfect. The racks do cook at different rates but it's not really a bother if you just account for it and switch it or just put stuff that needs to cook longer on the bottom. I made two pizzas in each rack no issue.

dont recommend this. very difficult to actually use because the frame around the door/entry is super thick while the actually usable space is very narrow and shallow.
