$799's about right for msrp, inflation set aside. Not the best price.

Still way too expensive. Don't understand why people go for the Genesis when the Spirit is just as good.

Saw both this one, as well as a Weber Q series with instant discounts. Didn't catch the price of the Q though. This was in the Hayward location.

For the same reason people buy Lexus, even though Toyota is "just as good."

Beefier/better construction, larger cooking area, gets hotter, many more options/accessories. I like that mine has doors and with Spirit I'd have to choose between the old-school Spirit to get storage, meanwhile I wanted the Spirit II features.

For something that lasts decades, spending an extra few hundred bucks is worthwhile for me.

I agree with this comparison. The Genesis is well worth the extra money.

Cincinnati had it for $799 today in-store (regular $999 in-store). When you factor in the package deal with the Connect Grilling Hub and Cover, it is a solid deal, if of course you want a Genesis (vs a Spirit).

Useless comparison. Costco version has lighted knobs, integrated q connect, cover, etc etc

Has anyone ever seen natural gas Weber version in the Costco stores? I've only seen LP in stores and aware that the website has natural gas as an option but website is more expensive.

It's the 10 year warranty difference.

Just get the Napoleon Prestige with the infrared side burner. It is so much better and more useful than the crappy side burners that come on this.

It's not. It uses higher quality materials, like stainless steel in place of powder coated steel handles.

Wrong, the Spirit actually has a slightly larger cooking area, at least for the E310s, which this is. For the E330s, then yes, it's flipped.

True, it does put off 37k BTUs versus the Spirit's 30k.

Like what? There are options for accessories for both of them. Point me to one that works with the Genesis that you can't find a comparable accessory for the Spirit. They may not be cross-compatible, but they both have options.

You can buy a Spirit II with doors. [weber.com]

It's prettier. That's legitimately the only reason you'd buy a Genesis.

What's the difference between this one and the genesis 2 E-315?? I have a brand new one with warranty fully assembled with Bluetooth hub and cover plus additional thermometer for $700 in Atlanta area (Henry) if interested

I've been wanting to buy a NG version from the Costco floor as well. Unfortunately, I don't think Costco B&M has ever sold NG version of Weber grills. At least not the ones near me.
