Total came out to $673 shipped after taxes! If you don't already have the slickdeals chrome extension, I highly recommend you install it!

For some reason the Dell page doesn't give me the direct link to each configuration so I forgot to sort by lowest price on their main list, and pulled the Alienware price by accident.
You're right the Gigabyte was a much better deal, but this is still a decent deal considering there's nothing else currently available that's better without being refurb, open box, or requiring a rebate.
Some people may need a new laptop now, rather than being able to sit and wait for the deal of the year to pop up. Timing sucks sometimes. Just trying to provide a few options is all.
