these make great monitors for everyday use - probably not good if u need super accurate colors but fine for reading or youtube.

refurbished TVs aren't always a good idea but Walmart is offering free returns

Huh.

I've always like TCL, and have been looking for a 43 inch 4K monitor to turn into 2x2 computer screens via desktop partitioning.

Yeah....IF you have a TV with a powerful enough processor.

This. Roku is nice and smooth even in mediocre processors.

Does it make sense to get the 3 year warranty for $25? Feels like for $25 you get a 50% chance of getting $180.

Bought this in 2020 from Target for like $160 and it makes a solid monitor, for the price. Depending on how close you sit, you may see a bit of color shift on the edges. It's plenty sharp and bright enough. It's definitely not as color accurate as a better monitor would be but for word processing, excel, browser based tasks, teams etc. It's been great. I use Divvy and have hotkeys setup to pin windows to different sections of the monitor. I can have 6 windows up at the same time and they're all a very useable size.

Id definitely suggest a different mount though. It's super low. I ended up just using a cheap wall mount that swivels. Tv is super light so i feel like any cheapo mount will do.

Idk about it being refurbished though. I remember reading reviews of the backlight going out. I've used mine like at least 30 hours a week for going on 2 years with no problems so far.
Google Tv interface is super laggy but i just connected a Chromecast with Google Tv and primarily use that so it's not really a problem.

Bought this as a TV for the kids room. It's pretty dang good. For $200 it's a steal
